Why would most police departments in major cities have Narcotic units when there's the DEA? Why would most, if not all major cities have a gang unit when the FBI has one too?Federal agencies and police cases?
Federal agencies are not responsible for routine police work in cities. The federal government generally handles large crime groups or crimes that cross state lines.Federal agencies and police cases?
Sadly. some major cities have a major drug problem...so they need federal help. Federal agencies like the FBI might have more expertise in certain area like a bigger finger print database or a better crime lab.
