There have been a myriad of Civil Rights suites under 1983 title 42 of the civil rights statutes. Go to your local law library and ask the clerk where to look and you will find so many you'll be researching for years. For instance the cops that were acquitted for the Rodney King beating. Were later tried in federal court for civil rights violation and went to federal prison. Then there are prisoners who have filed for violation of their civil rights under the 1983 statue and have prevailed in court.What are some cases where the federal government was sued?
