I am seeking an attorney for 2 cases that occurred in Puerto Rico. I am from NYC and was told I might be able to seek legal services for federal cases, because I am an outsider. Does anyone know if this is true?Will NYC attorneys handles federal cases that occurred in Puerto Rico?
You need to find an attorney who is a member ot the Puerto Rico Bar Association. Many attorneys hold membership in a number of states. You can go to the American Bar Association at www.abanet.org and find an attorney who holds licensees in both NY and PRWill NYC attorneys handles federal cases that occurred in Puerto Rico?
An attorney will do anything if you pay them enough money (that's why they're attorneys!)
But it sounds expensive. You're sure you couldn't find a good one there to handle the case for you?
